" San Francisco Ferry Building"  ….. Restored and now being utilized as a marketplace.  From 1898 until the 1930’s, the ferry building was the terminus for commuters from all over the bay area.  Ferryboats, similar to the Eureka, were the main mode of transportation into San Francisco, prior to the building of bridges.  The ferryboat Eureka is preserved at the San Francisco Maritime Historical Park.
