Things are looking up.  You may be rescued at any moment.  (Your dreamboat may, however, be riding on the crest of a tsunami).  Stand by for signals.

A mermaid found a swimming lad
Picked him for her own,
Pressed her body to his body,
Laughed; and plunging down
Forgot in cruel happiness
That even lovers drown.

Portrait of the Muse: Painting Is Such A Sweet Psychosis.

My first new painting in a month or more. It is only a 12inch by 16 inch canvas panel, but there are a lot of brushstrokes in it.  As with most of my paintings, it began as random blotches of paint, and was built up, stroke by stroke, painting things in and painting things out, until it took the shape you see.  I enjoyed the process, and I am as surprised as anyone to see its final form.  If you have anything to say about it, please feel free to put it in my Ask.
